Novel carbon materials such as carbon nanosphere, coin-like carbon, ordered mesoporous carbon, graphene, worm-like carbon and carbon cone etc., were synthesized via hydrothermal and solvothermal and template techniques. The application of these carbon materials were explored for catalyst supports and supercapasitors and hydrogen storage.
