报告摘要:
A new cryo-scanning transmission X-ray microscope (Cryo-STXM) has been commissioned at the Canadian Light Source (CLS) SM beamline. This microscope is optimized for normal incidence and tomographic transmission spectromicroscopic measurements from room temperature to cryogenic temperatures (below -170 oC) under close to ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions (10-8 torr). The cryo-tomography is achieved with a JEOL 2010 FasTEM Goniometer with sample rotation of +/- 70o on a Gatan 630 high-tilt cryo sample holder. In addition, the Cryo-STXM is convertible to a conventional STXM setup for Ambient-STXM compatible sample plates. The microscope is controlled via an all new python-based software package, pySTXM. Design details and recent results of the Cryo-STXM will be presented. A general introduction of the CLS SM beamline capabilities and research will also be briefly covered.
